Biotin

Biotin — one of the more recently discovered water-soluble B vitamins — was first isolated in 1936 and synthesized in 1943.


BIOLOGICAL FUNCTION & EFFECT:

• biotin-containing enzymes play a vital role in the production of energy and metabolism of carbohydrates and fats

• biotin produces healthy hair and helps prevent graying and baldness

• biotin helps prevent dry, splitting fingernails
